Protesters stop Ranbir and Alia from entering Ujjain Mahakal temple

Indore: Bajarang Dal activists staged a protest in the premises of Ujjain Mahakal Temple. They tried to stop the Bollywood actors from entering the temple.

The activists staged a protest citing Ranbir Kapoor’s statement in the past to a media organisation that he is a “big beef fan” and that his family is from Peshwar and his food has the Peshawari influence. Ranbir and Alia were at the temple to offer prayers to Mahakala as their new film Brahmastra is all set to hit silver screens on September 9. The director of the movie, Ayan Mukerji, took the darshan of the Lord, said the priest of the temple.

The activists raised slogans hailing Sri Rama and displayed black flags to the actors. The police later dispersed the protesters. It is not yet clear whether Alia and Ranbir took the Darshan of the Lord or not.
