Prohibitory orders clamped in Hubballi and Dharwad


Hubballi: Prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC have been imposed in Hubballi and Dharwad on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, in view of the removal of parts of Dargha in Bhairidevarkoppa.

Elaborated security measures have been made to maintain law and order in the city. The prohibitory orders will remain in force until 6 a.m. tomorrow (Thursday). The special land acquisition officer of HDBRTS, KRDCL, is widening the stretch between Hubballi and Dharwad, and as part of that, they will be removing the parts of Dargha that are located in the land acquired for the widening, said the sources.

The police said, the prohibitory orders were imposed to maintain law and order, and strict action would be taken if anyone was found conducting a meeting or gathering in connection with this issue.
