Prisoner of Belagavi Hindalaga Jail makes threat call to Nitin Gadkari: sources

Belagavi: A prisoner lodged in Belagavi’s Hindalaga Jail allegedly made a threat call to Union Minister for Road Transport Nitin Gadkari, according to local media reports.

Sources said that the office of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur got a threat call on Saturday, according to Nagpur Police. An unknown caller threatened to kill him three times. In addition, he threatened to blow up the office.

The Nagpur police visited Hindalaga jail and searched the cell, and it is said that a Mangaluru-based prisoner allegedly made the threat calls to Gadakari’s office. The Nagpur police, who were accompanied by Kolhapur and Sangli police, may continue to search the jail and gather more information in connection with the threat calls.
