Union Coal Minister Pralhad Joshi became the first coal minister to visit the Jhanjra area of the eastern coalfields. He travelled 1.5 km inside the underground mining project to reach a depth of 225 metres below ground level. He had firsthand experience of the difficult conditions faced by the labourers. The minister also shared a video on Twitter about his experience visiting the underground mine.
