
Hospital authorities appeal for donating blood
Islamabad, 30 Jan (HS): At least 32 people, most of them police personnel, died in a powerful bomb blast in a mosque in Peshawar in Pakistan. The blast by a suspected suicide bomber occurred during Namaz on Monday. Khaiber News has reported that 158 others are injured in the blast. The condition of about 90 is serious.
Pakistan Army has cordoned off the mosque in the Police line area. The blast was so powerful that its sound could be heard at a distance of 2 km. A portion of the mosque collapsed.
Around 550 people were inside the mosque at the time of the blast. Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the blast.
The injured were shifted to hospitals in the region. The hospitals have appealed to the people to donate blood for the injured.
