Bengaluru: DK Suresh, Member of Parliament and brother of Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar, has strongly reacted to MB Patil’s recent comment regarding the ruling tenure of Siddaramaiah. Patil had stated that Siddaramaiah will lead the state for the next five years without any power-sharing arrangement.
When questioned about MB Patil’s statement, DK Suresh directed reporters to meet AICC General Secretary Randeep Surjewala for further information. He urged them to gather insights from Surjewala, stating, “If you want an answer to MB Patil’s statement, meet Surjewala and seek clarification from him.”
Suresh added that while he could respond sharply to MB Patil’s comment, he chose not to do so. When asked about Shivakumar’s response to Patil’s statement, Shivakumar mentioned, “Let anyone say what they want. We have AICC General Secretary, the Chief Minister, and the AICC President in place.”
MB Patil clarified that he was reiterating the statement made by senior Congress leader KC Venugopal. Venugopal himself had recently stated that power-sharing would only be with the people, and DK Shivakumar would be the sole Deputy Chief Minister.
