Hubballi: On April 29, 30, and May 1, polling booth officers and staff will be visiting the homes of voters who are specially-abled or above the age of 80 and have requested to cast their votes through postal ballots. The Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer, Gurudatta Hegde, explained that the Election Commission of India has provided this opportunity for the convenience of these voters.
During the officers’ visit, they will issue ballot papers and collect them after the voters have cast their votes. Hegde requested voters to cooperate with the officials and be present at their homes during the scheduled visit.
