Minister V Somanna has affirmed his commitment to the BJP and stated that he is actively involved in the party’s work at both the government and organizational levels. He has declared his faithfulness to several leaders, including Prime Minister Modi, Nadda, Amit Shah, Yediyurappa, and Basavaraj Bommai, and stated that he is working under their guidance.
During a press conference in Bengaluru, Somanna refuted rumors circulating in the media that he was considering joining the Congress party. He criticized journalists for spreading baseless stories, including a viral photo of him with KPCC president DK Shivakumar, which had raised questions about his loyalty to the BJP.
Shivakumar, for his part, denied that the Congress had extended an invitation to Somanna to join the party. He clarified that the photo in question was an old one, taken while they were traveling on a flight from Belagavi to Bengaluru.
