Dharwad: If all goes well, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will open the Indian Institute of Technology, Dharwad (IIT-D) on January 1.
Speaking to reporters recently after inspecting the IIT-D permanent campus and building near Mummigatti, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi said that the preparations were going on at a brisk pace to inaugurate the campus on January 1. He said he would review the progress of the work once again next week, and the program’s schedule would be prepared then.
Prime Minister Modi is expected to tour the state two-to-three times in January. The Yuva Morcha programme organised in Belagavi on January 2 was cancelled following the Prime Minister’s visit to the state, said a party official.
