Vidyanagar block Congress president Rajat Ullagaddimath has said that they have decided to celebrate Kannada superstar the late Puneeth Rajkumar’s 47th birthday in a unique way.
Speaking to reporters, the young leader said they have organised a programme called “Appu Belaku,” in which hundreds of people will pledge to donate their eyes. The event will be held at the Moorusavir Math premises. Gurusiddarajyogindra Swamiji of Moorusavirmath would preside over the event.
Actor Nihal will kickstart the event by pledging to donate his eyes. The programme was organised in association with the Dr. MM Joshi Eye Institute. At the media briefing, Dr. Mayur More, social activist Ottilie Anbankumar, and others were present.
