Hubballi: Following complaints from the residents, the Hubbballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation once again launched the pig-catching drive in the twin cities.

Based on the direction of HDMC Commissioner Dr Gopal Krishna B, pig-catching teams caught over 100 pigs in various areas of the twin cities.

HDMC health officer Dr. Sridhar Dandeppanavar led the team, and the police department provided security for the operation. Dr Dandeppanavar stated that the drive would continue this time until they eradicated the menace.

Recently, HDMC asked pig rears to shift the pigs out of the city and warned that if they didn’t listen to them, they would launch the drive. HDMC has asked the residents to register complaints on their helpline to launch the operation in their area.
