Mithali Raj led the Indian side to a 107-point victory over archrival Pakistan in their opening match of the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup on Sunday, earning the hearts of millions of Indians. Her team’s gesture, however, had won hearts not only in India and Pakistan but all over the world.
After the match, a video of Indian women’s cricket team players playing with Pakistan captain Bismah Maroof’s baby daughter went viral on social media platforms. ICC had shared the photo of the Indian Cricket players playing and taking selfies with Bismah Maroof’s six-month-old Fathima. India defeated Pakistan in the Women’s World Cup match, but outside the field, Indian women managed to win fans’ hearts after they were seen loving Bisma Maroof’s newborn.
