Yadgir: A gold jewellery business owner lost his bag containing gold weighing one kilogram and cash worth Rs 8.50 lakh while boarding a bus in Shahpur town in Yadgir district on Friday evening.
According to the sources, businessman and Vijayapura resident Vikas Jain lost his bag containing valuables while boarding a bus to Vijayapura at the Old Bus Stand when this incident happened. The thieves stole the bag when the businessman was trying to board the bus amid the rush of passengers.
The town police reached the spot after getting the information. The police have said that the businessman lost gold worth Rs 70 lakh and cash worth Rs 8.50 lakh, and a case has been registered.
