Hubballi: Three out of the seven constituencies of Dharwad district have recorded a voter turnout of over 50% in the assembly election. The Dharwad constituency, where former minister and Congress candidate Vinay Kulkarni is contesting against BJP candidate Amrut Desai, witnessed a turnout of 57.69% by 3 pm.
Kundagol recorded a turnout of 52.69%, while Navalgund recorded 51.7%. The Hubballi-Dharwad (East) constituency had the lowest turnout with 44%. The high-voltage constituency of Hubballi-Dharwad (Central) recorded a turnout of 44.88%, while Hubballi-Dharwad (West) and Kalaghatagi recorded turnouts of 48.44% and 48.78% respectively by 3 pm. The average voting percentage for the Dharwad district constituency stands at 49.55% as of 3 pm.
