Chikkodi: Over 100 individuals became ill after consuming a wedding feast in Chikkodi’s Hirekodi village. The event was hosted by the Patel family and took place on Monday.
Guests at the marriage celebration suffered from symptoms like diarrhea and vomiting after partaking in the meal. The Patels had arranged both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes.
Those who consumed rice and non-vegetarian items exhibited the aforementioned symptoms. In response, health department officials swiftly arrived at the village. They set up a camp at a local government school to provide medical assistance to the affected individuals.
Those with severe symptoms were transferred to a government hospital in Chikkodi for further treatment.
