Bengaluru: People are showing an interest in buying electric vehicles as fuel prices are surging, and in the coming days, EVs are likely to rule the vehicle market.
Karnataka Heavy Industries Minister Murugesh Nirani has said that electric vehicles are the future and Karnataka is leading this segment. And over a lakh EVs have been registered in Karnataka, he said.
He posted a KOO to inform the public about this. Nirani further said that the EV segment is flourishing with a robust R&D environment and the EV policy of the state. “We are certain that Karnataka will drive the EV revolution in India,” he said, adding that Karnataka houses more than 45 EV startups.
In many cities, EV sales are so fast-paced that sometimes, buyers have to wait to a new EV, and there is a huge demand for the EVs and the supply of the vehicles have to be enhanced by EV manufacturing companies, said one of the dealers, requesting anonymity.
