Hubballi: Siddaramaiah, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly, stated that former Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar and former MLA SI Chikkangoudar have not contacted him.
Speaking to reporters here on Friday evening, he clarified that the news of Shettar joining the Congress due to not getting a ticket is false, as Shettar has not contacted him or shown any intention of joining the party.
Siddaramaiah also mentioned that the inclusion of Savadi in the Congress party is a significant boost, as Savadi had joined without any conditions after being upset with the denial of a BJP ticket from Athani seat.
Siddu’s flight diverted to Hubballi
Siddaramaiah’s flight was diverted to Hubballi due to rough weather in Belagavi, where he was supposed to participate in a program, and he waited for some time before leaving for Yamakanamaradi by road.
