Old Hubballi Police Nab Goa Crime Branch Cop for Aiding Escape

Hubballi: The Old Hubballi police have apprehended a Goa Crime Branch constable, Amit Naik, who was accused of aiding a criminal’s escape from police custody.

Naik allegedly facilitated the escape of a notorious criminal, Siddiqui, on December 12. Following the incident, both Naik and Siddiqui went into hiding. Acting on a specific tip-off, the Old Hubballi police located Naik in Hubballi, arrested him, and handed him over to the Goa police.

Siddiqui, however, remains at large, and efforts are ongoing to locate him, officials confirmed.
