Hubballi: The Old Hubballi police have arrested an accused in connection with the Santosh Murgod, 34, murder case. Santosh was stabbed to death, allegedly by the accused (the identity of the accused has not been revealed by the police), near Old Hubballi Durgadbail on Saturday night.
Old rivalry is said to be the reason for the murder. According to the police, victim Santosh had no criminal history, but the accused did, they both live in the same area and argued a few days before, and on Saturday, when the victim was leaving a hotel after dinner, the accused entered the same hotel, and it is said that the victim’s and accused’s shoulders collided, resulting in a heated argument that ended in a murder.
