NWKRTC bus veers off road in Navalgund; 8 injured

Hubballi: On Tuesday morning, at Kumarkoppa Cross in Navalgund taluk, a Ron-bound North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation (NWKRTC) bus veered off the road. In the mishap, eight passengers were injured.

To avoid a collision with a bike, the bus driver turned the bus to the left at Kumarkoppa Cross, and the bus went off the road and the bus came to a halt after sliding into a shallow ditch, said the police.

The bus had roughly 35 passengers, according to Navalgund Circle Inspector Chandrashekhar Matpathi, and 8–9 of them were suffered minor injuries. The inspector stated that the bus had left Dharwad in the morning and was on its way to Ron.
