Dharwad: Four Hindu activists who were jailed on vandalism and other charges after breaking watermelons belonging to a Muslim trader on the premises of Nuggikeri Hanuman temple on April 9 were released on bail on Saturday, and they were welcomed by the well-wishers who broke the watermelon on their release.
Instead of a pumpkin, a Sri Rama Sene leader broke a watermelon to remove the evil eye, or “Drishti.” of the activists. The video quickly went viral on social media platforms.
