Shivamogga: Deputy Director of Pre University Nagaraj Kagalkar has claimed that the news doing the rounds about a PU college in Shiralkoppa that it has suspended as many as 58 students staging a protest in favour of hijab was completely false and the college has not taken such a step.
He said the news doing the rounds is not true; the students are still staging a protest and efforts are on to convince them to attend the class, removing the hijab as per the direction of the court.
Earlier in the day, some media reported that the PU college had suspended 58 students staging a protest.
