Hubballi: As many as nine Haveri district students who had gone to Ukraine to study were stuck there.

Mahaganapati Bilimaggad of Gadag district’s Mundargi town, who is studying MBBS in Chernivtsi town, is stuck in Ukraine. Mahaganapati, the son of a Mundargi journalist, moved to Ukraine two years ago to study medicine at Bukovinian State Medical University. After the heat began, the student attempted to book air tickets, but he only got seats for the March 1st flight, which is now cancelled.
“I talked to my son on Thursday noon and he is alright, and the area where he is residing is safe right now,” Mahaganapati’s father, Kasinath Bilimaggada, said. We will be grateful to God if all of the students return safely to India.”
