Officials from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) are currently conducting raids at approximately 10 locations across Chennai, Madurai, Trichy, Theni, Otteri, and Thiruvathyur, as well as 12 locations in Jammu and Kashmir.
According to sources, these raids are aimed at detecting terrorist groups and monitoring their activities, with a specific focus on preventing terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir. The operations are being carried out in various districts, including Srinagar, Anantnag, Kupwara, Poonch, Rajouri, and Kishtwar. The NIA’s actions come in the wake of the tragic killing of five army soldiers during a gunfight with terrorists in Rajouri district on May 5.
