According to the authorities, at least 68 people perished today in Nepal after an aircraft carrying approximately 72 people from the capital Kathmandu crashed in Pokhara this morning. There were 68 passengers and four crew members on board the airplane when it crashed while landing at Pokhara Airport. Yeti Airlines’ twin-engine ATR 72 aircraft was flying from Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu.
The airline in a statement stated that there were 15 foreign nationals and six children travelling on the plane. Among the 15 foreign nationals, five were Indians, two Koreans, one Argentinian, four Russian, and one each from Australia, Ireland, and France.
