Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has said that the mortal remains of Haveri student Naveen Gyangoudar, who died in a shell attack in Kharkiv, Ukraine, have been embalmed and kept in a mortuary. It will be flown back once shelling stops. He said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar conveyed this to him.
“Ukraine is under shell attack from Russia. We will try to bring Naveen’s mortal remains back home immediately upon the stoppage of the shelling. The officials of the Indian Embassy, too, are in constant contact with the concerned authorities in this regard, “Bommai said.
