Hubballi: Teacher Geeta Barker, 34, who suffered serious injuries at the hands of her colleague Muttappa Hadagali, died on Thursday at KIMS Hospital.
Mutappa Hadagali had beaten Geetha’s nine-year-old son Bharat to death in the premises of the Government School of Hadli village near Nargund town in Gadag district.
This disturbing incident took place on Monday, Bharath Baraker succumbed to injuries on the same day. His mother, Geetha Barakeri, a teacher at the same school, was also attacked by the accused. She was shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hubballi, but she did not respond to the treatment and passed away this morning.
The director of KIMS, Dr. Ramalingappa Antartani, confirmed the Hubli Express and said the patient was brought to the hospital in critical condition. She was in ICU and has survived to this day because of the ventilator and treatment, he said.
