Mysuru: Following the allegation of Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee President Revanth Reddy that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is indirectly assisting the saffron party in winning the next Karnataka assembly elections by paying Rs 500 crore to a senior Congress leader in Karnataka to work against the party’s interests, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah and Zameer Ahemad Khan held a closed-door meeting at a hotel in the Bannimantap area in Mysuru on Friday night.
When media persons went there to get reactions from both leaders, Siddaramaiah lost his cool and asked why you people came to private meetings. He refused to comment on Revanth Reddy’s allegation.
Speaking to reporters, Zameer Ahemad Khan said that he agreed that he met Telangana Chief Minister KCR and said it was a courtesy meeting; no politics were discussed during the meeting. “I have not received money, and I don’t know anything about it,” he said. and that Revanth Reddy did not mention the name of the person to whom the offer was made.
