Mysuru: Sandalwood’s renowned music director, Hamsalekha, has been chosen to inaugurate this year’s Dasara festivities in Mysuru, as confirmed by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
Following prayers to Goddess Chamundeshwari on Chamundi Hill, Siddaramaiah revealed this decision. Tomorrow (August 30), the Congress party’s significant promise, Gruha Laxmi, will be introduced in Mysuru. Under this scheme, female heads of households will receive a monthly allowance of Rs 2,000.
Accompanying this launch, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge will be present. Siddaramaiah emphasized that approximately 1.10 lakh women stand to benefit from the monthly allowance, reinforcing his government’s commitment to fulfilling their electoral pledges.
