Hubballi: Congress party city district president Altaf Hallur has clarified that no protest or agitation was planned for tomorrow. He claimed rumours were spreading that the Congress party had organised a protest during the President of India’s visit to Hubballi. Any protest or demonstration was not planned or will not be conducted during the visit of the President and people should not pay attention to the rumours.

He stated that it is a proud moment for the people of Hubballi-Dharwad that the first citizen of India will be honoured by the Hubballi-Dharwad Municipal Corporation on behalf of residents of the twin cities tomorrow (Monday), and that holding a protest or demonstration is inappropriate in this situation, and that the Congress party did not consider organising a protest, so citizens should not listen to rumours and participate in the event.
