Hubballi: Former MLC and senior BJP leader Mohan Limbikai got an offer from the Congress party to join them, sources close to Mohan Limbikai confirmed to Hubli Express.
It is true that the former MLC got an offer from the leaders of the grand old party to join them, and he is now consulting his well-wishers and supporters. In the next two days, the Lingayat leader will reveal his decision.
Mohan Limbikai, who is said to be upset with the BJP due to recent developments, has been maintaining a safe distance from the party since the party denied him a ticket to contest from the West Teachers’ constituency. The saffron party gave the ticket to Basavaraj Horatti, who joined the party just before the election.
It is also said that he may contest the upcoming assembly election from Hubballi-Dharwad (West) constituency on the Congress ticket, the sources said, but it is not yet clear whether the party has given him assurance.
