Hubballi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a rousing welcome by the residents of the twin cities; people stood on the sides of the road to have a glimpse of him. Earlier it was announced that Modi en route to the Railway ground will wave at the public at eight locations. But looking at the enthusiasm of the public and gathering Modi stood on the footboard of his vehicle for almost one hour and waved hand at the public.
His visit to the city created a wave in the poll-bound state, and the PM is expected to visit Dharwad in the months of February and March to inaugurate the new campus of the Indian Institute of Technology in Dharwad (IIT-Dharwad).
Here are a few photographs of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s roadshow and the inauguration event of the National Youth Festival.
