Dharwad: The Chancellor of SDM University, D Veerendra Heggade said that Dharwad will soon be having a most modern cancer centre for the treatment of needy cancer patients.
He announced this after visiting the SDM Dharwad campus on Wednesday. He visited various departments and expressed his happiness about the progress and development of the Institutions with the intention to provide quality education and healthcare service.
During his visit inaugurated the most advanced MRI unit, renovated hospital pharmacy, virtual dissection tables-US make, sophisticated new microscope at the neurosurgery department.
He said the SDM Institutions is always committed to providing the best services available around the globe to its students and the patients. He had interacted with the senior officials of the university and took the progress report from all the heads of the constituent institutions.
The Vice-Chancellor, Dr Niranjan Kumar welcomed the Chancellor and the Vice President of SDM Educational Society, D. Surendra Kumar.
Pro Vice-Chancellors – Dr SK Joshi, Shri Jeevandhar Kumar, Registrar- Lt. Col. US Dinesh, Director Administration – Shri Saketh Shetty, Finance Officer VG Prabhu and Heads of the Institutions were present during the meeting.
