Hubballi-Dharwad (East) MLA Prasad Abbayya inspected the construction work of the Dharwad East RTO building which is coming up on 1.20 acres of land near Gabbur on the outskirts of the city.
The new G+1 building is being built by spending Rs. 8 crores. And the construction work is likely to be completed in a few months. MLA Prasad Abbayya visited the spot, and he inspected the work progress. The present KA 63 (Dharwad East) office has been working from a rented building since 2017.
It was the efforts of MLA Abbayya who persuaded then Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy to start the new RTO, as the existing RTO KA 25 (Dharwad West) was facing work pressure.
