MLA Prasad Abbayya came to the aid of KSLU students and offered support to the agitating student.

Hubballi: MLA Prasad Abbayya gave a big boost to the students of Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) who are protesting against offline exams on the fifth day of their agitation.

The MLA paid a visit to the university campus after hearing about the students’ protest. For the past five days, students have been protesting, demanding that the vice-chancellor reverse his decision to hold an offline exam and instead hold the exam in any other format prescribed by the UGC.

Few students are participating in the hunger strike, and the students are steadfast in their decision to strike indefinitely until their demands are met.

MLA Prasad Abbayya inquired about the students on hunger strike’s health and listened to their plight.

He summoned the Vice-Chancellor to the protesting site and inquired as to why courses had not begun despite the students’ payment of fees. Why does the university want the exam to be held on December 15th?

He requested that the VC look into the possibility of conducting the exam according to the students’ wishes and make an appropriate decision.

If the VC does not behave in a student-friendly manner, Abbayya threatened, that Congress would escalate the protest, and HDMC members, Congress leaders, and party workers will join the students in their protest. He also informed the students that he will raise this issue in the upcoming session, which begins on December 13.

MLC SV Sankanur was also accompanied MLA Abbayya and he also listened to their plight.

Agitating students meet Siddaramaiah

A couple of the protesting students met with Siddaramaih, the Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly. Abbayya organized the meeting.
