Hubballi: The Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research was recently given a 9.36 acres of land by the Dharwad district administration near the Leprosy Hospital in Hubballi.
Officials noted that a team from Jayadeva Institute and architects will likely inspect the site, and that tenders for the building’s construction work will be invited soon.
In the last budget, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced the establishment of a regional branch of the Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Hubballi.
Hubballi-Dharwad (West) MLA, Arvind Bellad, told Hubli Express that all the city’s elected representatives have agreed to build the hospital near Rayanal Lake. It would be convenient for residents of Hubballi and Dharwad, as well as patients from neighbouring districts, because it is close to the bypass and Gokul Road.
Bellad stated that the structure would be very elegant and would include all of the necessary equipment or facilities to treat individuals suffering from heart-related disorders. He stated that they intend to make this facility one of the finest cardiac treatment facilities in the region.
According to sources, MLA Bellad was particularly interested in establishing this hospital in his constituency, and all of the elected representatives, including former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, Minister Shankar Patil Munenakoppa, MLA Amrut Desai, and others, gave their approval. With the addition of this hospital, Bellad’s constituency has got another famous institution.
The work of building the hospital is moving along quickly, according to outgoing Deputy Commissioner Nitesh Patil, and once the drawings are finalised, the ground-breaking ceremony for the project will be held soon.
The hospital would cost Rs 250 crore to build, and the Bommai government has met a long-standing demand of the people of Hubballi-Dharwad.
