Dharwad: MLA Arvind Bellad’s uncle, Shivaputra (Shivanna) Bellad, 82, died in a road accident. The accident occurred near the SP office in Dharwad on Wednesday, and the critically injured Bellad was rushed to a private hospital but he did not survive. Shivanna is the younger brother of former MLA Chandrakant Bellad. In the accident, Shivanna’s car hit a road divider near the SP office in Dhawad and in which he suffered serious injuries. His final rites would be held at Hosayallapur burial grounds today, said sources.
