Hubballi, By Hubli Express News Service: In a compassionate initiative, the Indian Association of Dermatologists, Venereologists, and Leprologists (IADVL) and the Hubli-Dharwad Dermatologist Association organized a “Mission Jail” event. During this event, dermatologists provided complimentary skin disease check-ups for inmates at the Hubballi sub-jail.
During the camp, over 85 prisoners underwent screenings for various skin ailments, and they received necessary medications free of charge. Senior dermatologist Dr. Raghavendra Tophakhani addressed the prisoners, emphasizing the importance of maintaining good hygiene and educating them about various skin conditions. He also urged them to refrain from harmful habits like chewing tobacco and Gutkha.
The camp saw active participation from members of HDDA, including Dr. Mohan Shendre, Dr. Mitaxari Hugar, Dr. Kirti, Dr. Suman, as well as postgraduate students and residents from KIMS College and Hospital. Jailer Venkatesh presided over.
