Housing Minister V. Somanna, who is said to be upset with the BJP for the last few days and rumors were doing the rounds that he may join the Congress, has convened a press conference today.
Maybe he put all speculation to rest by revealing his decision today. In a veiled attack on his BJP colleagues yesterday (Monday), Somanna said that whatever rule applied to him must be enforced on everyone in the party.
He said his son, who is a doctor, has expressed his wish to enter public life. He said he has never requested a ticket or fought for a position for him. “As a father, I will do whatever is required for his growth, and there is nothing wrong with that,” he said.
He also claimed to have good relationships with the leaders of Congress and other parties.
