Dr. Bhagwat Kishanrao Karad, Union Minister of State for Finance is receiving appreciation for offering basic medical treatment to a passenger on an IndiGo aircraft. Bhagwat Karad was flying from Delhi to Mumbai on IndiGo flight 6E 171.
A passenger began complaining of uneasiness around an hour after the plane’s take-off. The cabin crew instantly called out for any doctors on board, and Bhagwat Karad, a surgeon by training, hurried to help. The union minister provided some basic medical treatment, as well as administered an injection from the plane’s emergency bag.
Dr. Karad got out of his seat and raced to the passenger’s aid when the passenger began to complain of giddiness and discomfort. He made the patient feel better by having him raise his feet and change positions every minute.”
After the procedure, the patient, who is thought to be in his forties, was said to feel better. The plane landed in Mumbai at 3:20 a.m. on Tuesday following a 45-minute journey, and the man was brought to a hospital for further treatment.
