Minister Shankar Patil Munenakoppa visits rain-affected areas in Navalgund and Annigeri taluk 

On Tuesday, Minister Shankar Patil Munenakoppa visited Kiresur and Hebsur villages where Bennihalla water entered many houses following heavy rains on Monday night. The minister interacted with the residents and assured them of all the possible help from the government.
Later, he visited Seva Kendra established by the taluka administration and inspected arrangements made for the affected people.

Many villages in Navalgund taluk facing flooding issues repeatedly, so far six villages have been shifted, if requires people living near Bennihalla, Tupparihalla other stream would be relocated to a safer place permanently. The government would distribute compensation for the affected people within 24 hours, he said.
