Hubballi: One of the senior photographers of the city, Kiran Bakale’s coverage of the Idgah grounds issue in the 90’s was remembered by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday when the minister was addressing a gathering after performing Mangalarati to Ganesha installed at the Idgah grounds in Hubballi.
BJP leaders such as Uma Bharti, Ananth Kumar, and others attempted to hoist the tricolour in the Idgah Maidan grounds at the time, which resulted in violence. Kiran Bakale, risking his life, photographed those moments. In his speech, Joshi especially mentioned Kiran’s bravery and his dedication to the work.
