Dharwad: Mayor Iresh Anchatgeri paid a visit to the Super Market in Dharwad on Thursday. During his visit, he conducted an inspection of the HDMC building located in the market. The building, which is over 50 years old, was found to be in a deteriorating condition. Mayor Anchatgeri expressed concern over the potential hazards it could pose to both vendors and the general public.
In order to address this issue, the Mayor told the public that the SDM College of Engineering and Technology will conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the building’s structural integrity. And instructed HDMC officials to take appropriate measures based on the report.
Additionally, the Mayor instructed officials to take necessary measures to remove any unauthorized structures constructed on the market’s premises. Furthermore, he personally inspected the areas affected by recent rainfall within the market vicinity.
