Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is certain that the state will not face any future coal shortages for electricity generation because the Union Government has granted permission to get coal from the Mandakani coal mine in Odisha.
He stated that coal will be supplied to the state not only from Odisha but also from Maharashtra. The CM informed reporters in New Delhi that there is no shortage of coal in the state right now.
His trip to Delhi was constructive, he claimed, and his meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi went well. The prime minister has praised his government’s pro-people initiatives in the first 100 days.
Union Minister Piyush Goyal has agreed to disburse a Rs 2,100 crore grant that has been waiting in the Food and Civil Supplies department, according to the chief minister.
