Mumbai, May 12 (HS): Five laborers died while cleaning a septic tank in Tanda village of Sonpeth tehsil under Parbhani district of Maharashtra. The dead bodies of all the laborers have been removed and sent to the civil hospital for postmortem.
According to the police, five laborers were cleaning the septic tank near Maruti Rathod’s farm on Thursday night. Due to late night, the five laborers did not come out for a long time. On getting this information, the villagers informed the police and with the help of the villagers, the police took out the bodies of the five laborers from the septic tank. The deceased have been identified as Sheikh Sadeq (45), Sheikh Shahrukh (20), Sheikh Junaid (29), Sheikh Naveed (25) and Sheikh Firoz (25). Prima facie it seems to be a case of poisonous gas in the septic tank.
