Lucknow, 22 May (HS): Four persons were detained in Uttar Pradesh, including a father-son duo, for attempting to sell a girl in Mumbai.
The girl, who lives in Rahimabad, was allegedly kidnapped by a gang member named Amir from Unnao district. Amir pretended to be a Hindu.
On May 17, the girl was brought to a residence and raped by Amir. According to the authorities, Amir and his father Zabir were conducting a human trafficking racket. They used to sell females to certain powerful people in Mumbai, according to the police, who added that the case is being probed. “Amir used to seduce women by appearing as a Hindu. Most of these girls, who wanted to work in big cities, fell right into his trap,” stated ADCP CM Sinha.
