Lone survivor of the IAF Helicopter Crash, Group captain Varun Singh passes away;

The Indian Air Force announced on Twitter today that Group Captain Varun Singh, the lone survivor of the Tamil Nadu chopper crash, died at the Command Hospital in Bengaluru.

Severely injured Varun Singh was shifted to Command Hospital in Bengaluru, He was airlifted from Suluru Airbase.

The IAF chopper, Mi17V5 crashed near Coonoor last Wednesday, Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat, his wife Madhulika Rawat, and other 11 Army personnel were killed in that incident.
