Hubballi: Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Mines and Coal Pralhad Joshi has urged the Congress party to clarify its stand on the hijab issue in the House. He also came down heavily on former minister BZ Zameer Ahamed Khan for his statement that rape incidents have increased in the country because of women not wearing hijab.
He asked Congress whether they would take action against the legislator. He also charged that the Congress party is behind the hijab issue. “As per me, everyone should follow the dress code. But Congress should clarify its stand on the issue, “he said.
Joshi also requested parents not fall prey to the words of those communal forces and should think about their children’s education.
