Hubballi: The Dharwad district police have solved a murder case that was initially registered as an accident case. The police have arrested three accused in connection with the case.
The police said that Shivappa alias Siddu Iti, 38, a resident of Kamadolli village, was found dead with his motorbike and his wife had registered a case claiming that he had died because of an accident. The Kundagol police had registered a case under IPC sections 279 and 304 (A) and were investigating the case.
The deceased relatives expressed doubt about the death of Shivappa, and the police started digging deep into the case, and they came to know that the deceased Shivappa’s wife, her lover, with the help of another person, murdered Shivappa by hitting him on the head with an object and dumping his dead body on the side of the road. Later, they damaged his bike and pushed it near his body to project it as an accident.
The police team led by inspector Maruti Gullari and PSI Narasimharaju solved the case under the direction of Superintendent of Police Lokesh Jagalasar.
