Hubballi: In a shocking turn of events, a Congress leader used unrefined word agianst his party colleague and Kundagol MLA Kusumavati Shivalli during a press conference in Hubballi on Monday.
GC Patil, who was present with several other party leaders, used a bad word to refer to Shivalli when questioned about her recent claim that party aspirants seeking a ticket for the upcoming Assembly election had not worked for her during the by-election.
The other leaders present, including Dhruti Salmani, Shivanand Bentur, Suresh Savanur, and Manjunath Bidnal, were taken aback by Patil’s outburst and quickly apologized on his behalf. They attributed his use of the derogatory term to his anger and expressed regret for his behavior.
Meanwhile, party aspirants urged Congress leaders not to award a ticket to Shivalli family or to her, threatening to field a rebel candidate if she is given the party’s ticket.
